Canistel Pie

Mix together and set aside.

7/8 cup brown sugar

1 tsp. ground cinnamon

1 tsp. ground ginger

½ tsp. salt

 

Mix together:

1 ½ cup mashed canistel pulp

2 well-beaten eggs

2 Tbsp. orange juice

1 ¼ cup milk

 

Blend two mixtures together. Pour into prepared, unbaked pie shell. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 250° and bake 50 minutes longer. Serve warm or chilled, with whipped cream.
